New Dog Application Process

Guide for initiating and completing new member applications.

Step 1: Start the Application

Navigate to the top of your dashboard and select Applications → Start New Dog Application.

  • Enter Profile ID: Input the member's Marine Corps League (MCL) Profile ID. This is required to start.
  • Auto-Population: Tabbing out of the field will auto-populate the member's information.
  • Review Data: You can update email and phone numbers. Note: Name and MCL Join Date cannot be changed to ensure eligibility.

Step 2: Medical Issues Entry

Enter any actual medical issues the applicant has.

Important: This field is for legitimate medical concerns the Mad Dog needs to be aware of during initiation, not for behavioral notes.

Once verified, click Submit. The application status will change to Pending.

Step 3: Applicant Signature

While the applicant is present (using a phone or tablet):

  1. Click Applicant Signature.
  2. Have the applicant sign (scratch with their paw) directly on the device.
  3. Save the signature to the application.

Step 4: Complete Initiation Details

Once the initiation at the Growl is finished, return to the application to complete it:

Required Data:

  • Date of Initiation
  • 1st Dog Catcher (Sponsor) Tag #
  • 2nd Dog Catcher (Sponsor) Tag #
  • Mad Dog Tag #
  • Dog Robber Tag #

Final Signature:

The Dog Robber must sign the form digitally to finalize the process.

Step 5: Submission & Transmittals

Click Complete Application. The status will update to Submitted to Pack.

Digital Workflow Benefits

  • An email is automatically sent to the Pack.
  • No printed copy needed: You do not need to mail a physical copy if submitted this way.
  • Print View: Available if you need a hard copy for your local files (auto-fills all signatures).

Once the Kennel Dog Robber enters the dog into the system, you will receive a notification confirming completion.
